can no longer read inscriptions 

When Franklin Garrett made his survey in the 1930's, he had Benjamin Burdett 
died 16 Apr 1871 aged 70 yrs & 11 days.  [so born 5 Apr 1801].  Wife Mary 
Southard Burdett's grave (shown here vandalized, but has since been repaired)
had Mary Burdett died 18 Aug 1854 according to Garrett.  According to the 1850 
DeKalb Co., GA census, she was born c. 1814. 


Additional Comments:
They were married 29 Jan 1828 Wilkes Co., GA. Benjamin Burdett is the son of 
Humphrey Burdett & his second wife Margaret.
