The Solid South, March 20, 1886
     A beautiful and accomplished young lady of Atlanta, named Miss Minnie 
Averlett ran away to Chattanooga last week and married a man named Patterson, 
who is an acrobat in Shield’s 10 cent circus. They had only known each other 
about one week.
