WILTON PHILIP COBB The Campbell Family. Daniel Campbell, a native of Scotland, was a pioneer settler in this county, having come to this section from North Carolina when Telfair County was in its infancy. He settled near the Ocmulgee River in that portion of Telfair which later became Dodge. Mr. Campbell was eighty-eight years of age at the time of his death, and no man was held in higher esteem by the public in general than he. His first wife was a Miss Morrison, and they were the parents of: Robert, who married Jane Bowen; Caroline, who married John Cravey; Sarah, who married Dave Yancey; a daughter who married Hugh McLean. His second wife was Mary McLean. There were no children of this union. Robert, son of Daniel Campbell, married Jane Brown, and their children were: Norman; Charles; Lewis; Daniel; Mollie, who married J. C. Ryals; Maggie, who married Mike Conley; Carrie, who married G.
