	DEATH OF JUDGE BISHOP. 
Was One of the Most Prominent Lawyers 
of South Georgia. 
  Eastman, Ga., February 20.—Judge 
James Bishop, Jr., one of the foremost 
lawyers of South Georgia, died this 
afternoon at 6 o'clock after a week's 
illness of pneumonia. 
  Judge Bishop has held many prominent 
positions and was a member of the law 
firm of DeLacy and Bishop since the 
firm's creation, twenty-six years ago. 
He was a member of the state democratic 
executive committee; judge of the city 
court of Eastman, Mayor of Eastman 
several times and has worthily filled 
each position. 
  He was a member of the Georgia Bar 
Association and took great interest in 
its deliberations. The people suffer a 
great loss in his death. He leaves a 
wife and a daughter.
