Was One of the Most Prominent Lawyers of South Georgia. Eastman, Ga., February 20.—Judge James Bishop, Jr., one of the foremost lawyers of South Georgia, died this afternoon at 6 o'clock after a week's illness of pneumonia. Judge Bishop has held many prominent positions and was a member of the law firm of DeLacy and Bishop since the firm's creation, twenty-six years ago. He was a member of the state democratic executive committee; judge of the city court of Eastman, Mayor of Eastman several times and has worthily filled each position. He was a member of the Georgia Bar Association and took great interest in its deliberations. The people suffer a great loss in his death. He leaves a wife and a daughter.
