BARRON

The funeral service for Mrs. Lola D. Barron, 82, of Rhine, was held last 
Friday in the Rhine Baptist Church, with interment in Bay Springs Cemetery.  
Rev. T. K. Carroll  and  Rev. Royce Adkins officiated.

Pallbearers were Billy Barron, Rony Barron, David Barron, Tommy Barron, Harold 
Maddox and Ben Cravey Jr., all grandsons.  Musicians were Mary Barron and 
wendy Barron.

Mrs. Barron died March 27 in a Hawkinsville Hospital.

Born in Telfair County, Mrs Barron had lived in Dodge County most of her 
life.  She was a member of the Rhine Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Chriistine Ryals, of Rhine; Myrtice Cravey, 
of Albany, and Ruby Maddox, of Albany, three daughters-in-laws, Beatrice 
McCranie, Bessie Ryals, and Mary Barron, all of Rhine; and one son-in-law, T. 
G. Bowen, of Rhine.  14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren also survived.

Stokes-Southern Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Compiler Notes: The Bay Springs Cemetery is now refer to as being the Rhine 
City Cemetery and appears in the Dodge County Cemetery Book that way.  Lola 
Dowdy was the wife of James "Jim" T. Barron of Dodge County, Georgia.  Both 
are buried in the Rhine City Cemetery,  Dodge County, Georgia.
