JIM BARRON Funeral services for Mr. Jim Barron, 64, of Rhine, who died Saturday afternoon at the Dodge County Hospital, were held Monday at 3 p. m. at the Rhine Baptist Church. Rev. J. C. Jones and Rev T. K. Carroll officiated. Mr. Barron was a member of the Rhine Baptist Church and had been in the grocery business at rhine for several years. Serving as pallbearers were L. D. Bowen, Stephen Bowen, Laurie Bowen, James Dowdy, Felton Holmes and Spurgeon Yawn. The merchants of Rhine served as honorary pallbearers.. Sacred songs were rendered by Mrs. R. J. Studstill and Carey Hilliard, with Mrs. Callie reaves at the organ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs Lola Dowdy Barron,, of Rhine; five daughters, Mrs. John B. Ryals, of Rhine, Mrs. T. G. Bowen, Rhine, Mrs. Ben Cravey, Albany; Mrs Guy Maddox, Winder, and Mrs.Derrell Powell, of Rhine; also survivingg iis Mrs. Beatrice Barron, wife of the late John B. Barron, of Rhine; two sons, James D. and Thomas Barron, of Rhine; two sisters, Mrs. Hoyt Bowen and Mrs. Annie Bell Stuckey, both of Rhine; one brother, Mr. John S. Barron, of Rhine; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home had charge of arrangemments. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: James "Jim" Barron husband of Lola Dowdy was buried at Rhine City Cemetery. Later on she would be buried there also.
