DODGE COUNTY NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS Volume XII. 1975-1978 By: Tad Evans Pages 6461 and 6462 Thursday, March 4, 1976 BRACEWELL. The funeral service for Mrs. Justin J. (Hylah) Bracewell was held Thursday in Cottondale Baptist Church, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Rev T. K. Carroll and Rev Jimmy Dupree officiated. Pallbearers were Everett Blue, Arthur Faircloth, Click Jones, Elmer Lowery. Buck Mullis and Don Ethridge. Mrs. Bracewell died February 24 in Dodge County Hospital. A life long resident of Dodge County, Mrs. Bracewell was a retired textile worker. She was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Justin J. Bracewell, of Eastman, three sons, Ronald Bracewell, of Cochran, Robert Bracewell, of Atlants, and Leslie Bracewell, of Eastman; three sister, Mrs. Willie Conley and Mrs. Myrtie Lee Loyd, both of Estman; and Mrs. Vauneda Alvin, of Griffin; one brother, Maynard Walker, of Eastman. Three grandchildren also survive. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangementa. Compiler Notes: Place of burial was Cottondale Baptist Church Cemetery in Dodge County. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: She was the daughter of Rev. Samuel "Sammie' Daniel Walker (born 16 Aug 1872 and died 25 Jan 1930 & Louisa Harriet Woodard born: 30 Jul 1881 and died 24 Oct 1932. Both are buried at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurens County, Georgia. They are listed in the Laurens County Cemetery Book, Volume II, published by the Laurens County Historical Society at Dublin, Laurens County, Georgia. See pages 590 for Louisa and 591 for Samuel.
