[BOB] NOBLES, JR. Date Page 210 Vol. 16, #36, Thursday Morning, 7 Sep. 1882: Page 211: Obituary A postal card from Col. W. J. Williams, of Temperance, under the date of August 31st, informs us of the death of Mr. Daniel Campbell, at his home in Dodge County at two o'clock on the morning of the 31st ult. Mr. Campbell was a native of Scotland, and emigated to America in 1802, he being eight years of age at that time. He was therefore eighty-six years of age. We are not prepared to say how long he had been a citizen of Dodge County, but probably ever sine his arrival in America. Seeing Mr. Clark Wilcox in Hawkinsville on Saturday last, we ask him about the deceased. He said he was fifty-nine years of age, and he had known Mr. Campbell as far back as he could remember... Compiler Notes: One should remember that area where Mr Campbell lived was Telfair County, Georgia at that time and in 1870 it became Dodge County, Georgia. He lived in that area south of Rhine, Dodge County, Georgia and is buried in the Campbell/Cravey Cemetery in the nearby area.
