PROMINENT  PULASKI COUNTY CITIZEN DIED SATURDAY.

Robert Mills Cobb, 75-year -old citizen of Hawkinsville, route two, prominent 
Pulaski county farmer, died at Taylor Memorial Hospital in Hawkinsville 
Saturday morning, May 21, at 10 o'clock of hardening of the arteries.

Mr. Cobb, known to both young and old as Uncle Bob, was one of the county's 
most beloved citizens, and had many friend throughout this section of the 
state.  He was the son of the late Noah and Nancy Willcox Cobb, pioneer 
settlers.  He was a member of Woodmen of the World and the Midway Baptist 
Church, where funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock by 
Rev. D. W. Gilmer and Rev. James Allen.

Sacred selections were rendered by Miss Clyde Brown and Mrs. J. B. Stewart, 
Jr., accompanied by Mrs. Frances Howard.

Pallbearers were Edward Vaughn, Bryant Holt, Cullen Lancaster, Linis Black, 
Jess Vaughn and Charlie Brown.  Interment was in Harrell cemetery, with Martin-
Peacock Funeral Home in charge.

In addition to his wife, the former Miss Eliza Stone, Mr. Cobb is survived by 
the following: one son, John R. Cobb, Hawkinsville; three daughters, Mrs. C. 
B. Gatlin, Mrs. Isham Williamson, of Eastman, and Mrs. N. J. Bozeman, 
Hawkinsville; one brother, George Cobb, Hawkinsville, and one sister, Mrs. 
Neppie Cobb, Eastman; also 17 grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.
