J. W. DAVIS EASTMAN, May 14 -- Mrs. J. W. Davis, 67 of Eastman Route 2, died at her home Tuesday after a long illness. She was a native of Laurens County. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Thursday in Buck Horn Baptist Church in Laurens County. The Rev. Belton Harnes, pastor of the Church of God in Eastman, will officiate. Burial will be in the Buck Horn Cemetery. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman has charge of arrangements. Mrs. Davis is urvived by three daughters; Mrs. Neel Smith of Fitzgerald, Mrs. Rufus Hendricks of Eastman, and Mrs. Willie Ford of Eastman Route 2; two step- daughters, Mrs. Viola Batts of Orlando and Mrs. J. R. Smith of Orlando; three sons, James and John Davis of Eastman and Willie Davis of Milan. Additional Comments: Nann was born 16 Jun 1883 to Robert A. Byram and Lovencia C. Justice Byram. Nann was the 2nd wife of James W. Davis who is also buried in Buckhorn Methodist Church in Laurens County, Ga.
