J. H. GRIMSLEY Mr. J. H. Grimsley, formerly a citizen of this place, died at his home in Cochran, last Monday morning, after a brief illness of jaundice. It may be truly said Mr. Grimsley was a honest man--- “the noblest work of God”.” He was a devoted husband, an indulgent father, and a kind neighbor, and in his death our sister town of Cochran loses one of its best citizens. Mr. Grimsley was one of the pioneer citizens of Eastman, having moved here when the town was in its infancy, and no man had more or better friends throughout this section than he. His remains were brought to Eastman Tuesday, and interred in Woodlawn Cemetery with Masonic honors, by Eastman Lodge N#55, assisted by a delegation from the Cochran lodge. Mr. Grimsley leave a wife and eight children, wh have thie heartfelt sympathy of everybody.
