John A. Harrell, a well known and valuable citizen of Dodge County, died at his home near Chauncey on Tuesday morning last. He was buried at Parkerson Church on Wednesday by the Masons of Eastman and Chauncey. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: Captain John A. Harrell was born om 3 August 1826 in Pulaski County., Georgia and died 18 February 1888 at his home near Chauncey, Dodge County., Georgia. He was buried on the 29 February 1888 in the Parkerson Church Cemetery in Dodge County., Ga. He was the son Of Asa Harrell and Mary "Polly" Elizabeth Keen. He married Jeanett Hendley on 19 February 1846 in Pulaski County., Ga. She is identified in the Dodge County., Ga. Cemetery Book. see Page 261, at top of page Jane Harrell, wife of Capt. J. A. Harrell she's buried in the J.J.Harrell Cemetery., Dodge County., Ga. she was born 8 Nov 1822 in Pulaski County., Ga. and died 6 Dec 1882 in Eastman., Ga. ( there is a family tree saying she died 30 May 1881 ). She was the daughter Horton Hendley and Mary Daniel. She does not appear in the "Find a Grave" list. Her husband does.
