(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net August 6, 2013, 12:01 pm The Eastman Times Journal 4-8-1964 Page 10 Mrs. Eva Hinson Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Hinson, 62, of Chester, who died Wednesday morning at her home were held Thursday, April 2, from the Chester Baptist Church, with Rev. Ralph L. Bartlett officiating, assisted by Rev. John A. Godfrew. Interment was in Pleasant Olive Cemetery in Chester. Sacred selections were rendered by Mrs. George Bowen at the piano. Serving as pallbearers were Junior Moore, Wheeler Mullis, M. E. Parkerson, C. A. Graham., C. D. Rozier, and Henry Calhoun. Mrs. Hinson was born in Laurens County but had lived in this community most of her life. She was a member of Chester Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Marion McClelland of Chester and Mrs. Newborn Durden of Macon; one son, Wallace L. Hinson of Dawson; two sisters, Miss Alma Hobbs and Mrs. Ruth McClelland of Chester; and six grandchildren. Horne Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Eva was born 16 Mar 1902 to James Albert Hobbs and Mamie Gilbert Hobbs. Her husband was William Levi Hinson who is also buried in Pleasant Olive Cemetery.
