(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net August 6, 2013, 2:04 pm The Eastman Times Journal Spotlight 10-18-1984 Page 6 Hinson The funeral for Wallace Levi Hinson, 62, who died last Wednesday, was held Friday at Harvey Funeral Home in Dawson with interment in the Pleasant Olive Cemetery. A native of Bleckley County, Mr. Hinson was a graduate of Chester High School and the University of Georgia. He had lived in Tennell County for 30 years. He was a retired supervisor for the Farmers Home Administration; a World War II veteran; a member of the VFW; and a member of the Raines Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ellen Thigpen Hinson; a son, John Wallace Hinson of Dawson; two daughters, Mrs. Linda Bennett of Stockton and Mrs. Gail Kern of Maple Plain, Minn.; and seven grandchildren. He has two aunts in Chester, Miss Alma Hobbs and Mrs. Ruth McClelland. He also has several nieces and nephews. Phil Durden and son Mark from Monroe were here for the Hinson funeral.
