                               Howell

 The funeral for Willie B. Howell, age 84 of Eastman, was held February 15 in 
Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Smith and Rev. Emory Howell 
officiating. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Mr. Howell died February 13 in the Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.

 A lifelong resident of Dodge County, he was a painter, a member of Mt. Ararat 
Freewill Baptist Church, son of the late General Jackson Howell and Sallie 
Williams Howell and father of the late Gerald Howell.

 Survivors include his wife, Susie Strickland Howell of Eastman; four 
daughters, Willene Carrigge, Susan Chapman, Judy Brown, and Jo Dunn, all of 
Eastman; four sons, Tony Howell, Gene Howell, Steve Howell, and Mickey Howell, 
all of Eastman' 26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and several great-
great-grandchildren.

 Pallbearers were Mr. Howell's grandsons, Danny Paul Howell, Jerry Howell, 
Rodney Howell, Donnie Brown Jr., David Yawn, and Jody Yawn.

 Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
