                         Ernest L. Howell
 Funeral services for Ernest L. Howell, 61, of Rte. 6 Eastman, were held 
Wednesday afternoon of last week at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church 
with Elder J. F. Little officiating. Interment was in Rozar Cemetery.
 Mr. Howell died April 1 of a heart attack.
 Sacred selections were rendered by Ben and Mildred Jackson.
 Casket bearers were Cobb and Earl Howell, W. M. Holder, Richard and Carl 
Evans, and Johnny Lee Giddens.
 Mr. Howell was a native of Dodge County and had lived here all of his life. 
He was a farmer.
 Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anne Bell Giddens Howell, Rte. 6 Eastman; two 
sons, Ernest L. Howell Jr., Fernandina, Fla. and Gerald Howell, Eastman; four 
brothers, Allen, Ellis, and Henry of Eastman and Willie Howell, Empire; two 
sisters, Mrs. Will Holder of Rte. 6 Eastman and Miss Harpie Howell, Eastman; 
and two grandchildren.
 Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home was in charge.

Ernest was born abt 1902 to William Ashley Howell and Mary Janie Allen Howell.
