JONES

The funeral for William Britt Jones, 83, was held Monday in the chapel of 
Horne Funeral Home with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery. Rev. Leroy Hilliard 
officiated.

Pallbearers were Johnny Jones, Dennis Grenade, Herman Saunders, Jimmy Jones, 
Glynn Maddox, and Buck Maddox.  Annelle Pace was organist.

Mr. Jones died January 20, in the VA Medical Center in Milledgeville.

Born in Dodge County, Mr. Jones was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a 
retired carpenter.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Horne of Hilliard, Fla and one 
sister Mrs. Docie Holcomb of Cochran.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Compiler Notes: William Britt Jones was the son of: Robert Frank Jones (1887-
1960) and Minnie Ida Phillips (1882-1965). Both parents are buried at the Pine 
Level Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Dodge county, Georgia.
