Oak Ave., died Sunday (May 20, 1984) at Morrow Memorial Hospital. A native of Dublin, Ga., he came to Bartow from Wauchula 36 years ago and lived in Lake Alfred Restorium before his death. He was a retired manager of the shoe department at J. W. Earnest & Co. and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Bartow, Knowles G. Oglesby American Legion Post 3, Augusta Bevis Music Club and the Battle of the Bulge Veterans Organization. He is survived by his daughters, Martha Sayre Bynum Davies and Helen Bynum Gienau, both of Bartow; sisters, Alma Carmichael, Blakely, Ga., and Lucile Mashburn, Rochelle, Ga.; brother, Uly Lee, Rochelle; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
