DODGE COUNTY NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS Volume II. 1893-1907 By: Tad Evans Page 922 Thursday, December 21, 1905 MR. JESSEE NIXON DEAD. Mr. Jessee Nixon, a prominent citizen of the Central Point neighborhood, died very suddenly Sunday afternoon. We failed to learn the particulars of his death, but hear that he was stricken with apoplexy while at his wood pile and expired before he could be gotten into the house. Mr. Nixon was about 66 years of age. He was held in high esteem by his his friends and neighbors and will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived. Additional Comments: Compiler Notes: His complete name as recorded in various places is Jesse Van Buren Nixon was born Jan 1841 in Pulaski (now Dodge) County, Georgia. He died in Central Point Neighborhood of Dodge County, Georgia on 19 Dec 1905. { See above obit }. Could he be buried in the Nixon Cemetery {?} ( also known as Central Point Baptist Church Cemetery. ) His 1st wife, Mary Elizabeth { Bohannon} Nixon b. 9 Jun 1847 and died 2 Jan 1888 is buried in the Nixon Cemetery and a 2nd wife Emma Dee {MNU} Nixon is also listed as being buried in the Nixon Cemetery.
