Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. Pruett was a lifelong resident of Eastman. He was a member of Ocmulgee Baptist church and a retired barber. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Etta Butler Pruett of Eastman; a daughter, Mrs. Hilton Rawlins of McRae; a son, Delacy Pruett of Empire; two grandsons, three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jeff Harris of Lumber City; and eight brothers, Roy Pruett of Savannah, Horace Pruett, Albert Pruett, both of Brunswick, Dolphus Pruett of Ocala, Fla., Murl Pruett of Perry, and Guy Pruett, Oliver Pruett and Buford Pruett, all of Eastman. Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home of Eastman was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Hughie was the correct spelling of his name, as per granddaughter, Sheila Rawlins.
