PEACOCK -- Mrs. Vera P. Peacock, 60 of 2117 Westcott Street died suddenly 
Thursday. She was a native of Eastman, Ga. and the widow of the Late Mr. Leroy 
S. Peacock. Survivors are 3 daughters, Lou and Patricia Peacock and Nancy 
Lewis; 5 sons, Clifton, General, D. L., Monroe and Roy Peacock; 6 sisters, 
Verna and Virginia Murray, Vansene Evans, Vernell Ashley, Lucy Lewis, and Mary 
Howard; 2 brothers, John T. and Melvin T. Smith; and 9 grandchildren. Funeral 
services wil be held Monday at 10AM in the Chapel of Peeples Funeral Home, 2220 
Soutel Drive, near Lem Turner Road with Rev. Richard C. Wagner officiating, 
pastor of Lem Turner Road Church of the Nazarene where she was a member. 
Additional services and burial 2PM Tuesday, graveside at Coleman Cemetery, 
Eastman, Ga. with Horne Funeral Home in charge.

Vera was born 26 Dec 1926 to John Thomas Smith and Annie Lee Faircloth Smith.
