James Thomas Reeves was born 11-4-1858 and died 7-25-1932 (GA DC# 15770) and is
buried at Bowers Cemetery in Dodge County. His first wife, Ellen Floyd Reeves is
also buried there. His second wife, Lady Tripp Reeves, and his third wife,
Lillian G. Howell Coleman Reeves, are both buried at Trail Branch Primitive
Baptist Church Cemetery in Bleckley County.

 Mr. J. T. Reeves Buried With Masonic Honors

Mr. J. T. Reeves, of near Empire, succumbed Monday night at the age of 73 years.
He was a man highly esteemed and his passing has cast a gloom of sorrow over the
entire community in which he resided. His life was such that friends everywhere
placed great confidence in him, and he was a valuable asset in all his life's
activities. He was a good homemaker, a loyal member of the Masonic Lodge, a good
church man, and a farmer who worked by the sweat of his brow in earning an
honest livelihood.
Mr. Reeves was married three times, and his present wife was Miss Howell before
her marriage. He moved to this section 20 years ago from Pike County. He has a
large family of splendid children, who are an honor to his good name. There are
now three sons and ten daughters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday with Bro. Woodard officiating and paying
words of respect. The Masons concluded the services at the grave in Bowers
cemetery in the presence of a large concourse of friends and relatives. T. W.
Fisher was the local funeral director in charge of arrangements.
