12.	Jimmy P. Rye
April 25, 1926 – June 26, 2010
    VETERAN of the U.S.Army

     Chester – Saturday in Dublin at the 
Carl Vinson VA Medical Center Mr. Jimmy 
P. Rye, age 84, died. Funeral 
arrangements have been made and will be 
held Monday  morning at 11:00 A.M. at 
Mathis Funeral Home.
 Burial will be a 
private one in Pleasant Olive Cemetery.
      Mr. Rye, born in Monticello, had 
lived in Chester 19 years. He was the 
husband of the late Evelyn Evans Rye. He 
was retired from Koppers Corporation and 
a US Army Veteran of WWII.
     His prescious children, Mary Ann 
(Lynn) Johnson and Robert (Susan) Rye of 
Chester, Rev. Arnold Rye of Eastman, 
James Rye of Rentz and Joann Laura of 
California; four grandchildren are left 
behind and has decided to meet with 
friends an hour before the service on 
Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
     The family is at 15 Old Rebie Road, 
Chester.
