Mr. Stanley was born in Eastman and moved back a month ago from Daytona Beach, where he had lived for more than 50 years. He also taught arts and crafts at Recreation Hall and was an ordained minister of his church, Triumph the Church, Kingdom of God in Christ. He never missed a day of work while at the Recreation Department of Daytona Beach, and in 1975, April 11 was established as 'Norman Stanley Day' by Mayor Larry Kelly. Survivors include a sister, Ophelia Moore, Eastman; and a friend Nancy Hubson, who took care of his needs. Rollins Funeral Home, Eastman, is in charge."
