Services will be held at 3pm Thursday in Gresston Baptist Church. The Revs. Kelly Pritchett, Olin Hamlin, and James Madison will officiate. A native of Dodge County, Mr. Tripp lived in Dodge County most of his life. He was a member and deacon of Gresston Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Adult Bible Class of the church. He was a retired civil service employee of Robins Air Force Base. He was also a World War II Merchant Marine veteran. Survivors include his wife, Opal Howell Tripp of Gresston; his daughter, Kay MacNeil of Jesup; two sons, Robert Ray Tripp of Stockbridge and Bill Tripp of Gresston; two brothers, Guy J. Tripp and Wilton Tripp, both of Eastman; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 tonight in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home in Eastman.
