No sisters listed Parents of William Jessie McCardel were: Benjamin Isaac McCardel and Francis Mathis Parents of Benjamin Isaac McCardle were John R. McCardel and Donnie (?) Shewmaker. Brothers of B.I. McCardel were John, William and two others illegible. Sisters were Evalena, illegible, Blanche, illegible. Parents of Francis Mathis McCardel were Edmond Mathis and Nancy Matilda Wilkinson. Francis McCardel's brothers were James J., John D., Allison, and David. Her sisters were Anna E., Nancy T., and Mary J. Parents of Rosa J. Gordy were (illegible) Gordy and Mintha Moore. Brothers of illegible Gordy were Robert, Joe, illegible, and Lynn. No sisters listed. Mintha Moore's brothers were Tommie, Melton, and Luther. Sisters of Mintha Moore were Essie, Emma and Mae. Brother of Edmond Mathis was David. Brothers of Nancy Wilkinson were Daniel and David. Sisters of Nancy were Mary and Elizabeth. Parents of Edmond Mathis were John Mathis and Elizabeth Rhodes. Parents of Nancy Wilkinson were Asa Wilkinson and Elizabeth Dykes. Parents of John R. McCardel were Reuben McCardel and Rebecca Barnett. Parents of Donnie Shewmake were Benjamin Shewmake and illegible Morgan. (Note: Dates are not included, however it is known that Edmond Mathis was born in 1816 in GA and Nancy Wilkinson was born in 1834 in AL.) NOTES:Parents of Edmond Mathis (b1816 GA d 1895 AL) were John Mathis and Elizabeth Rhodes of GA. The 1830 census of Dooley county GA has a John Mathis with 2 males 20-30, and 1 male 60-70. It shows for the same household 1 female under 5, 1 female 15-20, and 1 female 20-30. Lee county GA partially came from Dooley county. After Edmond became an adult, he bought land in Henry county AL, and in the deed it was reported that he was from Lee county GA. Part of Lee county GA then became part of Randolph county GA.
