She died May 9, 1925 in Pinehurst, GA (Dooly County). Matilda married Andrew Jackson Harp on October 7, 1858 in Houston County Georgia. Andrew Jackson was born August 20, 1834 in Hardin County Kentucky. He died October 15, 1905 in Unadilla, GA (Dooly County). They had met when Andrew went to work for father, John Taylor. When her father, John Taylor, died he left her 400 or 500 acres with one male slave and one female slave. John Taylor had bought this land from a man that had won it in the land lottery. The 1910 Dooly County Census shows Matilda (age 62), widowed, can read and write, has six children, of which, four are living. Matilda was living with her daughter Sallie E. Robertson. Matilda Taylor and Andrew Jackson Harp had the following children: 1. Sarah Elizabeth (Sallie) Harp was born February 3, 1879 in Dooly County Georgia. She died December 16, 1952 in Unadilla, GA (Dooly County). 2. William Jackson Harp was born March 8, 1866 in Georgia. He died October 18, 1942 in Dooly County, Georgia. 3. John Byron Harp was born October 18, 1873 in Georgia. He died October 29, 1931 in Dooly County, GA. 4. Henry Thomas Harp was born October 9, 1874 in Georgia. He died December 25, 1944 in Pinehurst, GA (Dooly County). 5. Martha Harp was born ABT. 1861 in GA. 6. Minnie L. Harp was born ABT. 1867 in GA.
