Company H, 5th Regiment Georgia Infantry, Reserves (Dooly & Bibb Counties). Organized April-May 1864 at Camp Cobb and Camp Oglethorpe in Bibb County. Served until the end of the war. There is evidence that Dooly County men also served in various "combined" units i.e. companies composed of men from different counties. These include independent sharpshooter battalions, "legions", cavalry and artillery units, etc. Identifying these men and their respective units is an ongoing project.
