Mr. C. C. Greer stated to a News reporter yesterday that he had just begun work on a wire fence which would, when completed, enclose about 1,100 acres of fine swamp and grazing lands, upon which he would start one of the most extensive cattle ranches in the South. Mr. Greer is now buying up all the cattle he can find and will put them in his large pasture and fatten them for market. This pasture will furnish all the grass and cane for the cattle in the spring and summer, and in the winter Mr. Greer will have 200 acres of rye to pasture the on until spring again. Mr. Greer is one of the largest and most successful farmers in Dooly county, and we predict that he will make big success of hiw new industry.
