Carroll; their eldest daughter, Zeph, to Robert Madison Harman, of Chipley, Ga. There were about one hundred guests present, and every one seemed to enter into the spirit of good will of the occasion. Yes, it was an old-fashion home wedding, because the grandmas and grandpas were conspicuous by their presence and not by their absence; and because the elegant supper was gotten up on such a magnificent and generous scale, such as used to be seen in southern homes in antebellum times. As King Arthur would have said, the table fairly groaned 'neath the burden of good things. The lovely Carol home was beautifully decorated with palms, smilax and flowers. The bridal party wound itself gracefully down the stairway into the large reception hall, where the ceremony was performed in Mr. Bass' happiest manner. First came Lessie, the little sister of the bride, with their cousins, Annie Kate Clewis, next the other sister, Miss Smithye, accompanied by Mr. Key of Chipley; then the bride and groom. The latter was handsome in the usual suit of black, while the bride, in her girlish beauty, was fair to look upon. Her suit, which was of some soft clinging material, was a lovely creation that became well it's fair wearer. She carried a shower bouquet of white carnations and the same fastened on her veil. The bride is a girl who is much loved throughout the whole community, and her popularity was attested by the many handsome presents received. The next morning, accompanied by Misses Carroll and Clewis, the happy pair tool their departure for their new home, with showwers of blessings, of rice and of good wishes. May God make their lives one long, happy unity, and at last round them into an eternal felicity.
