Zachariah Hall of Dooly While in Vienna last week we met with Mr Zachariah Hall, an old veteran of the War of 1812 between Great Britain and the United States. Mr Hall is now in his ninetieth year, and was, therefore, about tweny-eight years of age at the time he was a soldier in the American army. He receives regularly from the United States Government a pension of ninety-six dollars a year, or twenty - four dollars every quarter. He was married upward of sixty-five years ago and has now living thirteen sons and daughters , six sons and seven daughters. From these have descended over one hundred and twenty-five grand children, many of whom, with their children's children, are living in Dooly. In fact, it would take the census man a whole week to enumerate the Halls of Dooly and write down their ages. Mr Hall's oldest son, is William, aged sixty-five years. There were sixteen children born, three of whom are dead. The old patriarch has been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church for nearly sixty years. He is still lively and retains the faculties of mind but has lost the use of his lower limbs and has to be carried from place to place.
