Southern Recorder Milledgeville Tuesday November 13th, 1849
Died: At his residence in Dooly County on the 27th day of October, Mr. Levin 
Adams, aged 71 years 9 months and 27 days. Mr. Adams was born and raised in 
Pitt County North Carolina and moved to Georgia and settled in Laurens County 
about 1815 where he resided until he moved to Dooly County in January 1846 and 
settled on his residence where he died. He has left a wife, three sons and two 
daughters.
