     Vienna Progress Tuesday, July 16, 1895
     
     The Progress has just learned of the death of Mrs. Wm. S. Dowdy,
     which occurred at their home near Williford on the 20th of June
     last.
     
     Mrs. Dowdy was 46 years old, and effectionate wife and mother, and
     a consistent member of the Methodist church. Her husband and five
     children are left to mourn the absence in their home of Heaven's
     best gift---wife and mother---and are bereft and comfortless.
     
     She has gone to meet the reward of the true and just.
