The Weekly News Griffin GA August 8, 1884
William Eldridge, a highly respected citizen of Dooly County, died at his home, 
near Arabi, on Thursday last, July 24th after a few weeks illness of dropsy. 
Mr. Eldridge was perhaps the oldest man in the county, having obtained the 
advances age of 83 years.
