A native of Monroe County he has resided in this county for 47 years. He was a member of the Drayton Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Drayton Baptist Church with Rev. M. J. Bennett and Rev. Adair in charge. Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery with Akin Funeral Home, Vienna in charge. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nellie Odom Goodrum, nine sons, Tom Goodrum, Macon, Ernest Goodrum, Eufaula, Ala., Frank H. Goodrum, Byron, Earl Goodrum, Griffin, James J. Goodrum, Jr. of Americus, Bud Goodrum, Nashville, Tenn., Harry H. and Paul A. Goodrum, Vienna and Ralph Goodrum, of Camp Pickett, Va.; five daughters, MRs. R. L. Bunn, Columbus, Mrs. E. R. Martin and Mrs. J. L. Rice, Griffin, Misses Etta Goodrum and Mary Kate Goodrum, three brothers, P. W. Goodrum, Forsyth, J. T. Goodrum, Warwick and A. S. Goodrum, Vienna; four sisters, Mrs. A. D. Vaughan, Forsyth, Mrs. Frank Thurman, Forsyth, Mrs. R. E. Hall, Unadilla and Mrs. R. N. Spears.
