Hawkinsville Dispatch. Captain William Kaigler, formerly of Dooly county, died at Andersonville, in Sumter county, on Friday last. Captain Kaigler was a survivor of the war between the United States and Mexico, and was one of the unfortunate command (Colonel Fanning's [sic] regiment, we believe) captured in 1837 while fighting for the independence fof Texas We have been told that he was one of the very few, after the "drawing of the beans," escaping with his life. It was his luck to draw a white bean twice. He resided in Dooly county for many years, but some time ago moved to Andersonville, where, as stated, his death occurred on Friday last.
