                          MRS. LASHLEY DEAD
        Mother of Cordele Business Man Passes Away in Vienna
 
  Mrs. Josephine Lashley, wife of James J. Lashley of Vienna, and mother of 
Mr. Lashley of Cordele, passes away yesterday afternoon at four o’clock in 
Vienna, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Lashley was 67 years of age and a 
woman of many absolutely fine traits of christian character. She was a member 
of the Vienna Baptist Church. Her death will be widely mourned in Dooly and 
Crisp counties and over all the entire section.
The funeral plans are made for ten o’clock tomorrow morning at the Vienna 
Baptist Church. Rev. T. W. Tippett, pastor, will conduct the service.

Josephine was born 3 Jan 1857 to William West and Mary Alene Johnson West.
