Southern Recorder Milledgeville Tuesday May 12th, 1851
Died at Union Springs in Dooly County, GA on April 19th after an illness of 12 
days of an afflection of the liver and other internal organs, Mr. James Lock 
aged 55 years lacking a few days. He was born in North Carolina and moved to 
Georgia at an early age. 

Additional Comments:
James Lock married Athelia Adams on December 23rd, 1832 in Laurens County. 
Athelia Adams is the daughter of Leven Adams and Winifred Edwards. James Lock 
was a Justice of the Peace in Laurens County. His son William B Lock served 
the Confederacy during the Civil War. W.B. Lock enlisted in Company C, 55th 
Infantry Regiment Georgia on June 2nd, 1863 at the age of 18.
