S. Lewis One of the saddest deaths that ever occurred in our midst was that of Mr. Thos. S. Lewis, at his home in Hawkinsville this (Wednesday) morning at 6 o'clock. He had been in ill health for several months, but the immediate or direct cause of his death was a malignant case of jaundice. Mr. Lewis was a member of the firm of Watson & Lewis, and stood among the most prominent and successful merchants of our town. He was a son of Mr. Jasper F. Lewis of Dooly county. Mr. Lewis leaves a wife, who was Miss Georgia Pate and several small children to mourn his sad and untimely demise. He was aged about 30 years.
