Mrs. Olivia Margaret Spivey, for several years a teacher in Dooly County schools and member of a respected and prominent family of this county, passed away Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in a Dublin hospital following a major operation complicated by development of Pneumonia. Mrs. Spivey was a daughter of Mr. R.E. Robertson and Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Harp Robertson, of near Pinehurst, and grew to womanhood in that county, where she taught school prior to her removal to Dublin about two years ago. While living in the Laurens County city, she was principal of Harmony School. Mrs. Spivey was a woman of many feminine graces and possessed sterling traits of character that endeared her to all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance, and was a member of the Baptist church, was faithful to the tenets of her religion. She leaves a wide ring of relatives and friends who are grieved that her life has been so short and feels that an irreplacable loss has been sustained. Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday at noon by Rev. E. W. Eubanks, pastor of Jefferson Street Baptist Church of Dublin, at Harmony Church, near Pinehurst, the services including a song program by the Peavy Quartette. Interment was made in Harmony cemetery. Mr. Broadway, W. E. Shivers, C. Lewis, B. D. Brown, J. E. McCrary, and P. P. Cross acting as pallbearers. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Miss Evelyn Spivey, and a son, William Douglas Spivey, Dublin; her mother, Mrs. R. E. Robertson, Pinehurst; four sisters: Mrs. Lessie Bowen, Pinehurst; Mrs. E. F. Cross, Vienna, Miss Gladys Robertson, Thomston; and Mrs. Clinton Heath, Pinehurst; and one brother, Thomas H.
