William B Lock / Locke was born January 3rd, 1845 and he passed away on 
October 16th, 1923. William Lock is the son of James Lock and Athelia Adams 
Lock. On June 2nd, 1863 William enlisted as a private in Company C 55th 
Infantry Regiment. William was taken as a POW on September 9th, 1863 at 
Cumberland Gap, TN. He was held at Camp Douglas until June 14th, 1865. William 
is buried at Mars Hill Baptist Church in Dooly County, GA.
