Savannah Morning  News  17 July 1884
Married at Arabi in Dooly County on Thursday , 10th Inst. Mr. Marcus Raney and
Miss Dovie Pitts. The bride is a daughter of Mr. Hardy Pitts one of Doolys most
substantial citizens.
     The attendees were Mr. John Raney and Miss Susan Davis; Mr. Hess Pitts and
Miss Dala Gamble; Mr. Sherod Hamilton and Miss Lydia Bedgood, all of Arabi.
