Kersh, Barnett Kersh, Henry Kersh, Albert Kersh, Jeremiah Kersh, George Kersh Junior, John G. Kersh, Mary Jane Kersh, and Lora Kersh, and such other children as the said George Kersh may have at the time of his death, children of the said George Kersh Senior of the same place of the second part, witnesseth that the said George Kersh Senior for and in consideration of natural love and affection which he bears to the said parties of the second part, and for the further consideration that the parties of the second part maintain or cause to be maintained the said George Kersh and his wife Sarah Kersh in a genteel manner for and during the natural life of the said George and Sarah and the life of the survivor of them, and also that the said George Kersh shall have full control of the property herein after conveyed for the sole maintenance of himself and wife during the life of the said George Kersh, and that if his wife should survive him then she should become equally interested on the above property as one of the grantor and possession of the said property herein after named to be held in possession of the party of the first part for the use and benefit of the parties of the second part except so far as the maintenance as afore mentioned, hath given granted and conveyed, and does by these presents give grant and convey unto the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns the following described lots of land. Tract numbers one (1) and two (2) and Thirty Two Situate and lying and being in the Sixteenth District of Dooly County, containing by original survey Sis Hundred and Six three and fourths Acres more or less. Also eight negro slaves to wit Charity a woman forty five years old, Hetty a woman about twenty two years old, Lucy a girl sixteen years old, Violet a woman Chancy a girl twelve years old, Tom a boy fifteen years old, Prince a boy thirteen years old , and Jesse a boy eight years old, also my entire stock of cattle consisting of about Two hundred and Sixty head and entire stock of hogs consisting of about on hundred & fifty head and entire stock of sheep consisting of twenty five head, and four head of horses, being my entire number of horses and hogs sheep and cattle, also my household and kitchen furniture, to have and to hold the said lots of land together with all the members and appurtenances hereto belonging, and also all the personal property aforementioned unto them the parties of the second part their heirs and assigns their own proper use and benefit and behoof former, In testimony thereof the said George Kersh Senior hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal, the day and year first above written.
