GeorgiaDougherty County:This indenture made and entered into this the 14th day of April One thousand eight hundred and eighty eight, between Mrs. Margret Nelms of the county of 
Dougherty and State of Georgia of the first part and H. H. Nelms of the 
County of Dougherty and State of Georgia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Mrs. Margaret Nelms for and in consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is 
hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold and by these hereunto 
do grant, bargain sell and convey unto the said H. H. Nelms his heirs and assigns all and singularly all of that lot or parcel of land ??  described as follows: All of sixty two acres ?? ??? ??? ??? Lot of land No. 56 in the 
first Dist. of said County that being all the land ??? of said lot ?? which 
the land is situated, at ?? five acres. Also 20 head of cattle marked ? crop 
Not over half crop in one?? ?? 
(much in here about cattle that I could not make out) the same to have and to 
hold unto the said H. H. Nelms his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple 
and the said Mrs. Margret Nelms by these presents binds herself, her heirs 
executors and administrators to warrant and defend the titles of said lot of 
land and said personal property to the said H. H. nelms his heirs and assigns 
against herself and against the claims of all other persons whomsoever. In 
witness where of the said Mrs. Margret Nelms hereunto set her hand and seal 
this the 14 day of April 1888. Interlined ?? ?? and personal property before signing. Signed, seald and delivered in presence of:: D. H. Pope, ?? B brown??
