September 23, 1890 Albany, Ga., September 17 -- Martin Cohen, colored, on Broadway's Hardup place, had his arm terribly lacerated with a gun. Dr. Miner Davis was called who placed a ligature above the wound and went to attend another urgent call. During his absence the negroes unfastened the bandages and Martin began bleeding to death. Dr. Bacon was summoned from Albany, and found the negro about to expire. He amputated the arm but fears he cannot survive the flow of blood.
