An appreciateve company of music lovers greeted Mr. W.A. Reid, Jr., at his first organ recital, given Tuesday evening at the First Baptist Church, when he was assisted by Mrs. O. D. Culpepper, whose exquisite soprano voice always delights her hearers. Mr. Reid made happy selections in the program he presented, ranging from several light numbers, which were given by request, to very difficult compositions. All of these he played with a sympathetic interpretation, and with a sureness of touch that bespeaks for him success in his chosen profession. Mr. Reid expects to leave in September for a year's study in Syracuse, NY, and he will carry with him the good wishes of many friends and admirers. Mrs. Culpepper has delighted many audiences in Albany and in other cities over the state, but she was never more charming than in her short program of Tuesday evening. Her bird-like notes were rich and full of color. There were a number of visitors from near-by towns present at the recital.
