Sept 19 - An automobile, which overturned on a curve, killed three men and injured two others Sunday on the Sylvester-Moultrie Highway, seven miles south of here. State troopers indentified the victims as Winton Sanders, 19 and Johnny Johnson, 35 both of Arlington and Nick Lewis, 50 of Albany. Bill Lewis, 21 of Albany and Jim Holley Daniels, 17 of Arlington were injured slightly. Mr. Lewis is survived by two children, Mrs. R. F. Davis of Baconton and Mr. Bill Lewis and three sisters, Mrs. C. L. Peek, Damascus, Mrs Mattie Mae Cook, Arlington and Mrs. A. E. Calhoun, Arlington. The funeral of Mr. Lewis will be held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at Timmons Cemetery, Calhoun County, conducted by the Rev. Charles Allen of Arlington. The Albany Undertaking Company is in charge. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Baptist Church of Damascus. Mr. Johnson spent his entire life a short distance south of Arlington where he had been farming. Mr. Lewis formerly lived in Arlington, but for a number of years had been living in Albany. Mr. Sanders, a young man, had been employed on a farm south of the city. All were well known in this section, where they have many friends who are grieved as the result of their deaths. Mr. Johnson's funeral wil be held at the Arlington Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Monday with interment in Timmons Cemetery. Mr. Sanders was the son of Jesse Sanders, of Early County, and the late Mr. sanders. Besides his mother he is survived by five sisters; Mrs. Bill Daniels Early County; Mrs. Watson Parr Bainbridge; Mrs. Al sanders, Baker County, Mrs. J. W. Parr, Waycross and Mrs. J. t. Gleaton, Baker County and a brother Marcellus sanders, Early County. The Sanders family is a prominent Baker County family. The funeral was held this morning at Liveoak Cemetery in Baker County.
