Clark, of the Newton Road, Dougherty County, whose body was found floating in the Flint River yesterday afternoon, was postponed yesterday afternoon due to lack of evidence and witnesses, to 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, according to Coroner C. W. Thomas. Clark's body was spotted in the river early yesterday afternoon, about 1 mile south of the Flint River bridge, by Carol Sears and Leroy Porter, Negro, employee of Sol. K, Simon who were "hunting hogs" at the time, according to City Officer Eugene Denson, who was summoned by the two men upon discovery of the body. The officer then contacted Coroner Thomas, who with the aid of several attaches, retrieved the body from the muddy waters of the river. According to Coroner Thomas, the body must have been in the water fro from 2 to 3 days and was badly decomposed. Several head blows apparently inflicted with some blunt instrument, were found by the coroner upon examination of the body. ?????????????????? torn piece missing from the published obits,, check original newspaper.
