Smith, 69, who died suddenly Thursday morning at his home following a heart attack, will be conducted Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Byne Memorial Baptist Church by Dr. C. Robert Pittard, pastor. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Mr. Smith had been a resident of Albany for the last 38 years and resided at 1504 Gillionville Road. At the time of his death he was a retired machinist for the Central of Georgia Railroad, a position he held for 23 years. He was a member of the Byne Memorial Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lonzo Pope of Albany, Mrs. J. L. butler of Moultrie, Mrs. A. N. Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Frank Kroposki, both of Toledo, Ohio; three sons, Wallace and Abner Smith, both of Toledo, Ohio, and James C. Vanlandingham of Albany; one brother, E. E. Smith of Camilla, and 25 grandchildren. The following will serve as pallbearers; W. D. turner, H. G. Hubbard, M. L. Simmons, Jr., C. L. Hall Jr., W. G. Hardin and Roland culpepper. Pallbearers are requested to meet at the churc Saturday at 4:15 p.m. Members of the Good Fellowship Sunday School class of the church wil attend the service in a body. The body will lie in state at the church from 3:30 until the funeral hour. The Albany Undertaking Company is in charge of arrangements.
