W. Mitchiner, 71, 717 Tift Ave., died at his home Thursday afternoon after having been in failing health for several months. Mr. Mitchiner had been a resident of Albany for the last two years, moving to Albany from Leesburg. Before ill health caused his retirement, he was coroner of Lee County for a number of years. Mr. Mitchiner was born in Randolph County, the sone of the late Mary Elizabeth Reese and David Mitchiner of Randolph County. He was a member of the Leesburg Baptist church. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Elsie Johnson of Cordele; three daughters, Mrs. A. E. Cross of Augusta, Mrs. Tommy Kidd of Norman Okla., and Miss Deanna Mitchener of Albany; two sons, the Rev. Charles W. Mitchiner of Louisville Ky, and Marvin E. Mitchiner of macon and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock inthe chapel of the Albany Undertaking Company by Dr. Leonard A. Stephens, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Clarence Roland, Aubrey Cross, J. K. Horne Jr., Harding Gentry, Tom Gattis and O. F. Loosier.
